Hello everyone. My name is Drew Buchanan and I am a second-year student attending the pre-professional theatre program at Duke Ellington School of the Arts. I am trying to raise a goal of $1,000. This money goes towards master classes so I can get a further education on my craft, travel and see theatre based experiences, as well as become even more enriched in my theatre experience. I plan to graduate from this program, and go to a college that challenges me in my crafts so I can further serve my community. It would mean the world to me if you could take the time to pull out your card, and donate as little as 15 dollars or even more if you could.
March
for the Arts, is the
Duke Ellington School of the Arts annual Theatre
Fundraiser.
Support Us!
In the Theatre Department, students aren't just taught how to act. They are taught how to create the stories they want to see. They are given the tools to shape the world around them with their art. Ellington relies on the generosity of parents and donors to ensure that our students receive the highest level of pre-professional training and performance opportunities. Donations enable them to create sets, craft costumes, power technical capabilities, hire additional instructors, and fund classes with Master Acting Teachers like the renowned Professor Vera Katz.
Celebrate With Us!
Once upon a time there was an enchanted land full of magical spells, beautiful maidens, and true love where everyone lived happily ever after. Or did they??? Take a magical tour through the enchanted forests of Georgetown and learn what really happened to Rapunzel, Jasmine, Hansel and Gretel and other misrepresented characters during an interactive live show. After the performance, get more of the real scoop while you fly high on the moon bounces with Aladdin, play croquet with Alice, eat homemade treats with Tiana, and dance like the clock will never strike 12 with Cinderella! Enchanted showtimes are at 10:30 and 12. Dress as your favorite misrepresented fairytale character for a special gift from the Prince!
